YOUTH ACADEMIES FROM ACROSS SOUTHEAST ARRIVE IN KUALA LUMPUR THIS MARCH
The 2019 KL Cup is just over a month away and places are filling up fast in all age groups. The 2019 edition will be the KL Cup’s 4th running, with teams from Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam coming together in Kuala Lumpur on 2–3 March.
Started in 2016, the KL Cup offers competitive football to boys and girls from 8 to 16 years old. The tournament is organised by Maxim Events, the company behind the AirAsia KL Junior League and the KL Invitational Cup, and to date has hosted over 200 teams from more than 8 Asian countries.
New for 2019
While the 2018 KL Cup took place at The New Camp, Bandar Utama, the 2019 edition will expand to 3 venues across the Malaysian capital. The addition of pitches at Ardence Arena in Setia Alam and UM Park at Universiti Malaya will provide more playing and spectator space making for a smoother tournament from the group stages to the finals.
